Fill in a website form with one sentence

Contact forms, quote requests and booking forms are a good first job for Auten. They look different on every site, they rarely have an API, and people fill in the same kind of form again and again.

1. Install the runner and connect a key

Paste one command into your terminal: curl -fsSL https://auten.ai/install | bash. It works on macOS and Linux. Then get a free key on your account page and paste it in when asked.

2. Describe the task

Type or say something like: go to example.com, open the contact page and send an inquiry from Jane Smith, [email protected], asking about delivery times. You do not need to know where the form is or what its fields are called.

3. Watch the first run

The AI opens the site, finds the contact page, scrolls to the form, fills in each field and presses send. If the form has a dropdown, it picks the option that matches your request. When the site shows its confirmation, Auten reports what it did.

4. What Auten keeps

The run becomes a skill for that site: open the page, fill the name, email and message fields, choose the topic, press send, check that the confirmation appeared. Your name, email and message are not stored in it. They become parameters.

5. Do it again

Next time, ask for an inquiry with different details. Auten recognises the task, replays the skill with the new values and checks for the confirmation, without asking the AI what to do. If the site has changed since, AI takes over from the step that broke and the skill is updated.

Good to know

• Sending a form is an action with an effect, so Auten treats it with more care than reading a page.
• A skill learned on one site is named after that site, so it is never used on a different site's form by mistake.
